So, it seems I lied about that Dragon*Con post. I never got around to writing it. But, be assured that a fantastic time was had! I'm hoping to get to go next year. *Crosses fingers*
This semester is coming to a close I've got a bunch of things to be writing, and a couple of things to be drawing. I'm sure it will all be horribly stressful, and I really need to start knocking some things out. UGH. I will this week. I promise! The part of the end of the semester that I'm really looking forward to is getting to read my books! I haven't been able to touch any of my own books (OK. OK. I did read Dekker's Green) since the semester started. I've got Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the 6th installment of the Hitchhiker's series And Another Thing..., Richard Castle's Heat Wave, I've got to start The Looking Glass Wars, and a couple of other books that I don't quite remember, but would surely like to read.
I have been able to keep up with Fullmetal Alchemist, though, both the new anime and the manga. I still can't get enough of that series.
Work's been pretty fantastic, honestly. For a first "real job," it's quite fun. It often feels like I'm getting paid to go hang out at a bookstore for a few hours, so I really can't complain. XD I enjoy having said monies. Sooo much.
Not much art, I'm afraid. I've got some drawings from my Life Drawing class that I may attempt to get on here some how. The sketchbook drawings will be easiest, so they might. I lost the first sketchbook I had for the class, and I'm quite angry about that still. There were some good things in that. Which reminds me...I've got to ask my prof if I can take home another bone to draw. *le sigh* Life Drawing is wonderful, though. I wish I could take the class every semester. It's been tremendously helpful.
However, I'm an official English major now, concentrating on creative writing. I'm not entirely sure how much longer I'll be in school since I changed majors, but hopefully no longer than a year extra. Pretty sure I can do it. I just might have learn how to get off the computer and do some freakin work. I'm horrible.
That...was a longer post than I expected. Apologies. I hope this finds you all well, and that everyone has a great Thanksgiving (at least those that celebrate it...), and I suspect I'll post again around the time I get out.
